I wanted to like this series Because when millions of people read a book and claim that they like it, there's gotta be something wrong with you for not liking it as well, right? But I'm wrong. There's nothing wrong with me. There's something wrong with everyone else. It's just the same cycle over and over again. Nothing new, except that Harry --excuse me-- Hardin is even more controlling and abusive. (He stalks Tessa into Zayn's apartment and forces her to leave with him and threaten's to kill Zayn for talking to her. Tell me that's not abusive. I dare you.) So, what pisses me off is how easily Tessa forgives Harry for making her virginity a game. If this girl has any respect for herself she would've filed a restraining order against him. Instead she decides to forgive him and decides she can't trust Steph when it was Harry who played with her heart. The lack of sisterhood in these types of stories make me sick. And it gets worse. Somehow, Harry is in control of who Tessa can and can't talk to and that's another sign of an emotional abusive relationship. When things get tough and you fall into the hands of alcohol . . . that's another sign of an emotionally abusive relationship. When you have sex with a girl and she's intoxicated and you know she wouldn't have sex with you if she weren't drunk, that's another sign of-- --- that's sexual assault. I don't know if Anna Todd wants you to sympathize for Tessa, but I can't sympathize for a character that makes dumb choices. I really can't. If this was real life, Tessa would've left Harry or Hardin or whatever, and went for Trevor or Zayn or whoever respects her as a person and not an object. But the writer isn't doing a good job in making it as realistic like she said she is. I mean, abuse is realistic, but come on. I feel like I would like this book if the whole series ended with Tessa leaving Hard-on for good and marries Trevor --Trevor too good for her, maybe Zed (Zayn)-- and never seeing him again. This isn't a good love story. This is just a girl's fantasy of changing a bad boy, mixed with co-dependency, and glamorizing abuse relationships. Anyways, this series is just boring. And the only reason why so many people like it is because of smut. Why haven't I thought of it sooner? Just add nonsensical drama and sex and there you go! A million reads. I am a genius. There's so many great, underrated stories on Wattpad, it upsets me that people prefer a badly written fanfictions and a relationship that reminds me of the Fifty Shades rather than something original. I don't hate Anna Todd. I'm "proud" she got a movie deal, it proves that anything could be possible. But her books are not my cup of tea and will never be, so get over it. If any After fans are planning on leaving me hate comments, just to let you know

I don't think I can reiterate enough how much I hate this series... "But Angela why the high rating?"... Well let me break it down for you, this is the best worst thing I've ever read. It's so addictive it's insane. It's like the potato chip bag of books. You don't want to eat more than a handful but somehow wind up eating the whole bag. After We Collided is seriously just the book After again. It's the same shit different day. Tessa and Hardin continue their on again off again, I hate you but can't live without you bull that they did in the first. Tessa is still the same up tight-jump to conclusion- why is she dating this guy- train wreck that she was in the first. Hardin is the same glass smashing-must fight anything with a pulse-emotional flip flopping dbag he was in the first as well. Tessa continues to say one thing then do another. Hardin continues to come up with white pointless lies for again, no reason. To give Todd some credit she did give her characters a little more development and personality in this one than the first. Tessa managed to have a little more spine than a jellyfish and Hardin was a lot more comical than in the first. "Just because he can't love you the way you want him to doesn't mean he doesn't love you with everything he has." As far as the plot line goes AWC is like I said above, just After only written in dual Pov between Hardin and Tessa. A lot of people are saying how important this was because we get to see what's going on in both our leads heads... Hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is nothing of substance going on in either of their brains. 95% of the time you'll be screaming "wow if these two just actually chilled the F out and had a real conversation this book would be 200 pages shorter and sweeter." This book is a cluster of what the heck am I reading moments. That being said I did enjoy the dual views. The plot is as delicious as soggy bread an at this point in time you're probably still wondering why I've given it such high marks... Well because again Todd has managed to hook me in. Every time I set this book down within minutes I had to pick it back up. The combination of perfectly placed twist, smutty goodness, my hatred of characters, and stupid plot must have fried all my braincells and in return made me love this story. The After Series brings nothing new or original to the ya/na genre. The moment it pulled the 50 shades of gross it took everything in me not to set this book on fire (if you've read it you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about). Though the characters are awful and the plot is weak all the twist made up for it. Because when those twist happen... Well lets just say my situation looked a little like this: Both took me completely by surprise. Also the smut in this book is so on point! Haters go ahead and hate, don't care, I ate it up! After We Collided had me so mad, so angry, so annoyed, and so so entertained. It's a story about a toxic relationship between an idiot drunk, controlling, cocky dick weed and a naive, pathetic, stupid, co-dependent moody girl, and yet I can't seem to get enough. After finishing the first book in the 'After' series, I immediately jumped into this second book. There was no way that I was going to quit this series with the way things ended at the end of 'After'--absolutely, no way! I had to know how things were going to play out for this disastrous couple. There was no way that I was going to quit this series with the way things ended at the end of 'After'--absolutely, no way! I had to know how things were going to play out for this disastrous couple. They are like crack! It might kill me. I know it's really not healthy...but I just can't seem to pull myself away from it! If I thought that Hardin and Tessa were going to grow up and start treating each other better, I would've been sorely disappointed. These two are every bit as toxic as they were the first time around. The back and forth, break-up and make-up, abusive cycle continues, strong as ever. Of course, I'm such a glutton for punishment that I had to have a front row seat for all of it! Picking up right where the first book ended, Tessa does her best to try and piece her life back together. She has been betrayed by everyone that she thought were her friends -- most of all, Hardin. Unfortunately, the manipulative jackass succeeded in tying her to him when he tricked her into moving into an apartment with him and away from the dorms. This will make distancing herself from him more difficult than she had hoped. While Tessa makes a weak attempt at moving on, Hardin sets out to prove that his feelings for her are genuine. Of course, every time he starts to make any progress in that regard he does something that sabotages all of his efforts. They truly are their own worst enemies. For what it's worth, Hardin does seem to show some actual emotions in this book. Mainly, his regret and heartache shines through. It's hard to feel sorry for him though, since all of his pain is entirely the result of his own cruel actions. To make matters worse, every time he starts to gain a little "nice guy" stock, he goes and does something abhorrent again, reminding me of what a despicable asshat he is. Some big revelations about his past only further prove that he is not to be trusted. He really is deplorable...but I love to hate him! I also found myself feeling a little more irritated with Tessa's weakness this time around. Can you say "doormat"? How many times is this girl going to fall for his crap? She also played the same childish games over and over, using other guys to make Hardin jealous, only to play the victim when she got the reaction she was looking for all along. I felt sorry for Tessa at first. By the end of this book, I was marveling at the fact that she hadn't been weeded out as part of the process of natural selection. Surely, this girl is too stupid to live! That being said, I still can't pull myself away from this angsty, infuriating story. It is like watching a trashy talk show or soap opera. It's unrealistic. The relationships are toxic. It probably kills off brain cells. However, I can't get enough of it. It is my latest guilty pleasure. I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but I'm completely hooked on this series. Like the first book, 'After We Collided' ends with a huge cliffhanger. Anna Todd certainly knows how to pull me back in. At this point, I think my relationship with this series is much like the relationship between Hardin and Tessa. I should probably cut all ties and get out while I can, but I just can't seem to resist the pull. I'm on to the third book in this addictive, dysfunctional romance.

I swear, this is the shittiest trilogy I have ever read. I don't even know what went on in the second one. Um. I don't even know where to start. There's so much sex in this book I can't even laugh about it anymore. It's that boring. So, yeah. I don't have much to say for this shit. But, please, Anna Todd, I think we know that a sequel is a continuation.

1.5 stars cause 2 stars are too much for this nonsense. Seriously? Seriously? Seriously? This supposed to be a plot twist? I was optimistic about the second book in the series since the first half of the story was, let's say, a desent one. But then Todd had to ruin everything just to continue the story-line and fill the papers with words. Unfortunately, I forgot the most interesting moments by the time I've finished it. I have to thank my buddy reads Mareira, Maria Vrisanaki and Athina who gave me 1.5 stars cause 2 stars are too much for this nonsense. Seriously? Seriously? Seriously? This book, even more than the first one, is like watching a car crash : you shouldn't be watching but you can't tear your eyes away from the disaster. And even though I'll probably roll my eyes a hundred times again, I'll definitively be reading the next one. It's like the book is Hardin and I'm Tessa : I know it's bad but I just can't stay away.

There are times when their relationship is so off the charts hideous that I wonder if I'm actually supposed to be pulling for them. Because as written, these two surely do not belong together. Tessa is wishy-washy and easily swayed (despite her talk of independence) and Hardin is a d-bag to the tenth power. But I'm supposed to get behind this train wreck of a relationship and hope for their HEA? Yeah, obviously I'm missing something important. Like a shred of likability. I find it amusing that every guy in Tessa's life desperately wants her, loves and adores her. Noah, Hardin, Trevor, Zed. Note to Anna Todd: this does not make your protagonist likable. It does, however, make her completely unrealistic and gag-inducing. And I still can't figure out why anyone gives Hardin the time of day. He is rude, obnoxious, disrespectful, angry... he consistently treats everyone around him in a way that is shockingly bad and yet they all just seem to go with it. Um, why? Why doesn't anyone tell him to pack sand, take his crap attitude and get lost? Apparently I missed any passages that described his hidden charms. So the toxic relationship continues, the silly drama, the constant bickering and fighting and jealous rages. But, let the train wreck continue - after 1,270 pages, I refuse to give up now.

I’ve been taking long walks recently. This audiobook series is pure trashy entertainment... Once again — don’t even ask me to explain or justify. I’m nuts and admit it... But.... during my long walks... Somehow this series is giving me time to think - connect with myself and nature - peacefully and privately. This ‘trashy-book-of-flaws’....is so easy to follow with it’s own problems that I find it producing in me a drug-like state of being. Calm and satisfied.

I wasn't planning on reviewing this book. But then I heard that they are making a movie/ series(?) out of this shitshow. The After series was written as Harry Styles fanfiction on Wattpad. I gained a lot of attention and was later rewritten into a novell. This is nothing new, we have seen it before. I have nothing against fanfiction, it's playful and fun but it's not supposed to be taken seriously and this book is trying sooo hard to be taken seriously. This book as about the "princess girl" Tessa and the "bad boy" Hardin and their "love story". The book is filled with drama, sex, fighting and even different types of abuse. Now, heres the thing with YA; it can have the worst set of characters and worts storyline ever and the language can be plain and mediocre, but if the books is smacked with sex and flowing body fluids, it will sell.It doesn't matter how harmful the book actually is because people will bite right into it as long it's full of spiraling hormones and this feels like a trend in modern YA? When you hear about a fanfiction piece turn't movie I'm pretty sure that your thoughts goes straight to Fifty Shades of Grey. For those who don't know: Fifty Shades is fanfiction based of the Twilight Saga, a completely fictional piece of work. I did have problems with Fifty Shades and I do have major problems with the After series. 1. Fifty Shades is an Adult book whilst After is a marketed towards Young Adults aka "Kids" but both are extremely abusive and dark erotica. 2. Fifty Shades, though fan fiction, was based on a completely fictional, "original" work whilst After is inspired by A REAL, BREATHING HUMAN BEEING THAT ACTUALLY EXISTS. Doesn't that make anyone else uncomfortable? Anna Todd sat at home, infront of her computer, franticly writing out her sloppy, wet fantasies about Harry Styles and then posting it to Wattpad..? I can't be the only one who get's weirded out about that? 3. The books aren't even good? They have NO storyline. Girls is picked on by boy. Boy advances on girl anyway. Girl is "confused". Girls and boy have sex. Repeat... Repeat... It's just sex, alcohol, drugs and abuse over and over. Not to mention that Anna Todd's language is terrible. 4. A producer saw the numbers these books are getting and saw a chance at a fat paycheck. I bet they didn't even read the books. I shouldn't let it make me this upset but it bothers me that young people are going to read these and see the movie and make up a picture in their heads that this is okay. A relationship is supposed to be fun and uplifting! Not filled with drama and emotional abuse! We are in an "era" where we have some amazing people in the spotlight promoting selfcare and selflove and we are continuously inspiring eachother on social media, teaching and telling eachother that we deserve more and then a piece like this comes along and just slams all of that into the dirt. And I don't find that to be okay.

Like, serious big issues...anger management and there's a shit ton for you to do... 3) being compassionate as the heroine is trying to be here, is not really looking good for her credibility and it all somehow comes down to her being a doormat, naive fucking doormat. 4) the characters are being portrayed through this lens of impulsive, passionate, affectionate sexual and emotionally charged relationship without them actually knowing what that REALLY means...what these characters display towards each other and towards other people surrounding them is unhealthy, wild, irrational and toxic, in one word no-good, which all just looks a bit cheap, immature and trashy... annoying :/ 5) I'll use the quote from the book to emphisize the general notion I got AFTER reading it: I'm tired of the back-and-forth, too. It's so exhausting and I can't do it anymore, I really can't. BUT this book ends up in a cliffy, hinting a much prolongued continuation of this turmoi of fucked up! Gah...

Little did I know later I would be screaming at Tessa but for completely different reasons. I’m sure I mentioned this in my review for After but I shall say it again, Anna is a genius! Hardin’s POV becomes crucial because you get to see what’s going on inside his head and the devastating pain he feels, and when I say crucial I mean it! We come from hating Hardin at the end of After and then we find out even more horrible stuff he has done and at that point I felt I couldn’t go any further. His pain though and self-loathing kept me going. He is suffering a great deal and even after everything that happened there was no doubt in my heart that he loved Tessa, even as complicated and toxic as the love between them seems to be at times. He has had it really tough and losing Tessa may be more than he can handle. In After We Collided you see a new side of Hardin, one that really wants to try to be a better person, I think you get a real good glimpse at how great of a guy he can really be if he can overcome his demons. One thing is for sure though he is not giving up on Tessa But is wanting to change and be better enough though? Enough to make someone forget the bad times? Sometimes a relationship is so damaged that not even the most profound love is enough. Tessa was at times beyond frustrating, UGH! I felt like slapping some sense into her (I may have screamed into my Goodreads a couple of times "Cut the man some slack for the love of Christ!") I don't want to give to much away but like seriously Tessa, either give the guy break or move on! and on the other hand, Zed! What in the?! All I'm gonna say is... I hope you guys are not tired of the roller coaster of feels though because it doesnt get any easier, they still fight and make up more times than I can actually remember (confession time: I'm here for it!), they have so much to work on as far as trusting each other goes and not just for Tessa but for Hardin too, but there is something Landon tells Tessa that stuck with me... "Just because he can't love you the way you want him to doesn't mean he doesn't love you with everything he has." Ultimately it all boils down to that. Is their love enough to forgive each other? To trust each other? To accept each others' flaws and mistakes? In After We Collided Anna doesn't disappoint though, their relationship is HOT even when rocky, and addictive. It's been a long time since I've read books that have kept me up until almost sunrise because I just couldn't put it down. This book didn't fail to make me feel, and that's what makes me love Anna's work so much, I truly feel despair, anger, frustration, joy with each character, because they become that real in her writing. And if you thought for a second that she would cut us break with the ending, well think again because I was left picking up my jaw from the ground when I reached the last line. Now I'm desperately awaiting the arrival of my copy of After We Fell (the struggle is real!) This series is all consuming 100% fantastic angst and one my favorites this year. Thanks to Gallery Books and Simon and Schuster for providing me with this review copy.

I love reading books I KNEW would be complete garbage but gotta get them reading challenge points in. Right when I thought the first book was bad?? HOW is this book even worse? I shouldn't kinkshame but screw that: y'all are messed up and need help if you actually love this series and this relationship. There is nothing redeemable about it, there are never even any cute moments. Maybe I can understand if you just like the smut but even then? It isn't even good smut! (Unless you find tampon removal sexy ya nasty.) I can even understand liking it in trashy sort of car accident way but all I see is people genuinely loving this and actually WANTING #Hessa to be together?? WHY? If literally everything else in this book wasn't bad enough, the dialogue and writing is just so bad. People speak so weird and nothing like actual human teenagers would speak, even adults don't speak like this. I don't think I ever wanted Hardin's POV either but go off I guess. He even thinks like an asshole. For a book that is almost 700 pages, nothing ever really happens. All of this book is just every other page back and forth. They fight, they make up, they have sex, repeat repeat. It's so melodramatic and insane how much stupid drama even happens. And most of the fighting was just the same fight every single time. iT's tRuE lOvE. WHERE? A character even tells Tessa that it doesn't have to hard and awful like this but she's like, derpa derp I love him!!!1!! Also give me a break on the girl-on-girl hate. It is the current year and Tessa over here calling girls whores just for existing in the same space as her boyfriend. She even physically attacks a girl over that and never even feels any remorse? She's STILL mad at the other girl for having a past with Hardin and acts like she deserved to get attacked??? Molly was the ONLY one who was going to tell Tessa the truth about the gross bet but she still only blames Molly (and Steph who she was actually friends with) after she's already forgiven king douche? Fuck you Tessa. Otherwise Tessa is whatever as a character because we all know she is just the easy self-insert anyway but it's still sad to see her actually stand up for herself and tell this disgusting boy off... only to forgive him five seconds later. Even though Tessa is trash too, it doesn't take away from Hardin being worse trash and how this relationship is not cute. No one deserves this kind of toxic, awful situation. Abusive relationships are not romantic, or ~goals~. It is not up to women to "save" the sad bad boy. He needs professional help and he deserves to be in goddamn prison. This relationship has had nothing but red flags from day one and this book just waves those flags twice as hard. Hardin (hard-on? Classic) is 120% a scary abuser. It is actually insane how this book shows all the ways he is legit awful and people think it's romantic? He screams at, controls Tessa, is violent as hell to everyone and everything, and is all around a piece of shit. Aw no he's sad it's okay! Nope, he can actually CHOKE. When a man does any of these things: • screams at you for something you did/didn't do • tells you what to do and who you can be friends with and even then he isn't happy if you have any male friends • is insanely jealous to a dangerous level (LITERALLY hunts down a guy just to beat the shit out of him. Not even the first guy he's beaten up "because of you") • tells you what to wear • actually ends up taking control of what you're wearing anyway like tossing yoga pants because he can't stand the sight of other men looking at you • he doesn't get the message about how you need space after he was shitty and 1) calls everyone you know 2) shows up at your job 3) follows you several hours away and DEMANDS you talk to him • has sex with you while you're super drunk but somehow you're the one who "didn't give him a choice" ??? • blows every little thing out of portion like you being friends with a guy means you slept with him • but if he does something shitty, it's time to manipulate you about how much he loves you and beg you to take him back (which you do but then he'll still get mad at you later and not forgive you as easy) • ignores you after a fight, won't talk about things, leaves you drunk at a party to find your way home so you get a ride but he's drunk now and screams about you "bringing him to my home" when he's the jackass who left you there • spends night platonically at a woman's house but when you do the same with your male friend you're a "whore" • literally isolates you from everyone else because he has destroyed the relationship you had with your mother (and your only other friends were his or his stepbrother) so when you constantly fight with him and have to leave, you have nowhere to go • in any sort of disagreement, he'll act like you betrayed him completely and start getting violent, throwing and breaking things, punching walls, and grabbing your wrist (don't worry though he PROMISES he will never hit you physically, even when he is blackout drunk and losing his shit. I guess emotional abuse doesn't exist in this fantasy world because his actions are just as bad as if he would just slap her.) • "Get over here before I make you." "If you ever do that again..." "You don't love me anymore?" "You can't leave me, I would die without you." "YOU did this, look what I did because of you." I could just keep going on but honestly just read this: 21 Warning Signs of an Emotionally Abusive Relationship and you'll find EVERYTHING that happened in this book. Now I'm going to yeet myself off my soapbox and try to cleanse myself of this piece of shit book.

To start with I thought I was going to truly like this fan fiction. I was obviously wrong. This fan fiction is dreadful , from the moment you start reading the second book you know what's happening next. To sum the book up it is basically Harry being a douchbag , abusing and treating Her badly. Tessa acts dumb and she lets Harry manipulate her. The main reason why girls loved these books is because of the sex and the drama. Honestly this sucks , you get tired of the back and forth "relationship" t To start with I thought I was going to truly like this fan fiction. I was obviously wrong. Gosh, I don't know what it is about this one. Subliminal messaging maybe LOL??? But it's just too good to stop. What readers can expect from this one in particular: 1. A lot of crying (from the characters, not you) 2. A lot of intentional and unintentional hurt and pain (again, from the characters) 3. Insecurity 4. Breakups 5. Makeups 6. Shady friends and more.... If you enjoy soap operas (hehe), new adult romance with a lot of drama but with a lot of heart, and characters that you hate but love at the same time then this is your book. Please note though that you have to read this series in order. Each book in this series surrounds Tessa and Hardin's intense relationship. Also, you will either love this series or hate it. But you should decide for yourself. I honestly love it. :-) Rating: 5 Stars

English In this second part you die of love and suffer, you suffer a lot. I am completely obsessed with this story and one hundred percent in love with Hardin. I am in trouble. While this book was much more repetitive than the previous one, I enjoyed it the same. It is true that the relationship between Tessa and Hardin is not healthy, but I think the most important thing of all is to realize and learn from it, to never have a relationship like that. Do not judge the book just for that. I think English In this second part you die of love and suffer, you suffer a lot. Do not judge the book just for that. I think it's positive that there are books that are not perfect fairy tales, because life is not like that. It is important that they teach us the reality in which we live and that things are not easy, in order to learn from them, and that if one day we see ourselves in a relationship like these characters, know that it is best to get away. I am aware that it is not a good book, but for me the most important thing is to enjoy reading. And, without a doubt, this saga is making me enjoy the unthinkable.

But when they are alone, they love each other so fiercely that you can’t help but root for them. They both have such awful backgrounds that you feel so bad for them and you really want them to grow up and work together. Anna Todd is also great at adding a last minute cliffhanger that really makes you have to immediately buy the next book. Damn her! 🤬

I don’t even know how to start this review…. It seems like this book was like the first one, with the constant cycle of breaking up and getting back together over and over again, but this time Hardin was not the only one to mess up. Tessa also did some screwed up things. Before I start complaining, let me just say that I was glad this book had a dual POV. I really hate when I’m kept in the dark about the other main character. Be warned: some spoilers ahead. Starting from the beginning, I still ca I don’t even know how to start this review…. Tessa also did some screwed up things. Before I start complaining, let me just say that I was glad this book had a dual POV. I really hate when I’m kept in the dark about the other main character. Be warned: some spoilers ahead. Starting from the beginning, I still can’t believe how fast Tessa forgave Hardin. He made a freakin bet about taking her virginity and showed everyone the condom and the bed sheets they used, to prove he actually did it. I don’t think I mentioned this in my “After” review but Hardin knew he loved Tess when he decided to show the evidences of their night together. What kind of love is this!? So, Tessa this is not something you just forgive that fast. What were you thinking!? Where is your self-respect!? I know he looked desperate and he was crying, but really? He brought this on himself! You were far too lenient with him. I couldn’t keep myself from cheering for Trevor or Zed. I knew she was gonna end up with Hardin again because they are obsessed with each other, but I couldn’t help it. This just shows how happy I am that Tessa and Hardin are together again… Not. FFS, Tessa! Trevor is a nice guy, he’s handsome, super sweet and thoughtful and he wouldn’t make you suffer like Hardin does. Besides he wants to live in Seattle like you! Why don’t you like him? I guess he’s not wild enough for you, right? So here comes Zed. He has tattoos like Hardin, he’s gorgeous, charming and thoughtful, he is always there when Hardin bails on you and he loves you! What more do you want? I think you're a masochist, you love being hurt by Hardin. Let me tell you something, you're an idiot! I don’t know if it was Zed that sent Tessa those texts pretending to be Hardin, on Hardin’s birthday, but I really don’t care. If it was Zed, it doesn't matter to me. Hardin has done so many shit that these texts are nothing compared to what he's done. Now let’s talk about Tessa. What the hell was she thinking when she started drinking like a maniac in that New Year’s frat party? What happened to “I don’t drink”? Apparently she drinks now. And don’t get me wrong, she can drink all she wants but she always chooses the worst moment and worst place to get drunk. I’m going to skip that part where she’s drunk and she decides that playing Truth or Dare is a great idea and it ends with her beating the shit out of Molly. It was actually nice that she went for Molly, but the rest... no comment. After this amazing game she ends up leaving Hardin alone for a bit so she can go to the bathroom and when she gets back she hears a conversation between Hardin and another girl and gets the impression that they were alone in a room earlier at the party. Instead of confronting Hardin or just yelling at him, like she always does, she just grabs a random guy and kisses him in front of Hardin. Amazing! She just turned into Hardin! He hurts you, so you hurt him back! This is their healthy relationship. This is how they solve their problems! Creating more! Obviously Hardin is furious with her because of this and he is right this time. He wasn’t with that girl alone in a room, it was a group of people and they were just talking. But Tessa just assumed he was cheating on her. I know he lied to you a lot but you just don’t go kissing other people to hurt your boyfriend. That’s sick! Hardin is so mad that he leaves her at the party. Hardin, I know you’re mad but you can’t leave her alone at a party. That’s when Zed comes in and gives her a ride home. When they get home Hardin is already drunk and he hates Zed (because he knows Zed wants Tessa) and loses his shit when he sees him. Well, you know how Hardin is… drunk + mad = trashing the place. That’s his M.O. Obviously, he forgives Tessa. Well, he has to. He has done so many things to her it would be ridiculous if he didn’t forgive her. Well, they eventually have another fight because Hardin hears Tessa calling Zed’s name during her sleep and he gets furious, again. I actually don’t understand why she was calling Zed and smiling while sleeping. That was weird. And Hardin never confronted Tessa about this. So, Hardin is mad and gets the hell out of their apartment and goes to a bar to get drunk. He’s so drunk that he ends up sleeping at the bartender apartment (it’s a woman, but he sleeps on the couch). The problem is that he lies to Tessa about where he went and she just can’t believe him anymore. They have a huge fight and she leaves the apartment. Let’s make a pause and talk about Landon here. He’s definitely my favorite character. He’s the best friend Tessa could ever have. He’s always there for Tessa when Hardin messes up. And you already know that Hardin messes up all the time. After this sleepover at the bartender house, Landon confronts Hardin. I loved this scene where Landon slams Hardin against the wall. Hardin always thinks he’s a fucking badass, but Landon is also very strong, he just doesn’t like to use violence to solve his problems unlike Hardin. Landon was so mad at Hardin this time. I really enjoyed seeing this side of him. He’s an amazing guy. Despite all Hardin has done to Tessa, Landon still believes they should be together and has been giving relationship advices to Hardin. God knows he needs them! So, after this fight Hardin decides to get back to England so that Tessa can move on from him. He’s kinda depressed at this point because he knows she’s too good for him and he always screws up everything and ends up hurting her. They almost spent two weeks without talking. During this time, both Hardin and Tessa are suffering. She tries to contact him, but he doesn’t answer his phone. Tessa is feeling alone and vulnerable but Zed is there for her. Zed is really kind with her and he tells her how things would have been if she were with him instead of Hardin. He says so many sweet things to her that she ends up kissing him. Zed likes her, and she knows it. But she also knows that she’s in love with Hardin. So, I don’t think she should have told him that she would try something with him. She’s still hung up on Hardin but she doesn’t think twice about Zed. She’s selfish, she’s only thinking that she doesn’t want to be alone. This is like Noah 2.0. Just to prove my point, when Hardin gets back from England she falls into his arms again. Predictable… Where does Zed ends? Tossed in the trash like a used can of soda. You're awful Tessa. You accuse Hardin of only thinking about himself but you’re no better! Look at how you used Zed! It's unacceptable! Oh! Let’s talk about the fact that Hardin beat the crap out of Zed twice! That’s how Hardin solves his problems, beating the crap out of everyone that crosses his path. In the second fight, Zed ended up in the hospital with a broken nose and a concussion. One more blow and Hardin would’ve probably killed Zed. I still can’t believe Tessa went to the hospital to ask Zed for him to not press charges against Hardin. I actually think some nights in jail would be good for him. He always uses violence to make his point and never thinks about the consequences. Hardin should suffer the consequences of his actions or he will never learn! Zed ended up agreeing with Tessa because he loves her. She used his feelings for her to get him to agree. What can I say… she’ll do everything for Hardin doesn’t matter who she uses or hurts in the process. That’s why sometimes I think Tessa and Hardin are perfect for each other. Their obsession towards one another is so out of control I think it would be better if they just went to an island and left everyone else alone. They definitely would fight less. Well, the book ended up with them together again (let’s see how many time it’s going to last) but they didn’t solve any of their problems. Tessa wants to marry and have children but Hardin doesn’t. Tessa wants to go to Seattle but Hardin wants to go to England. In fact, Tessa is supposed to move to Seattle in some days but she still didn’t tell Hardin about that. That’s going to be an awesome conversation… And at the very end (view spoiler)[ her father shows up. Apparently he’s homeless and is still a drunk. (hide spoiler)] Let’s see how this goes in the next book.

I was kind of dissapointed by this book! Tessa and Hardin`s story had a good start into book two, but the story stretches too long through the book. Hardin is too violent and selfish, in some ways, and a little unpredictable at some times. Tessa gets bolder in this book, but if i was her i would have left Hardin a while ago. It seems like the relationship developement in this book is like a ping pong ball. It gets thrown around all the time. it's basically the same cycle over and over again like in the first book. i skipped most of the pages because i honestly don't know why i was compelled to continue this series in the first place. hardin and tessa are getting better and better at being horrible. now that i think about it, i guess i kept reading because it's the worst book i've ever read. it never ceased to amaze me how the plot keeps going south instead of progressing and showing some development. bookstagram
