And this book proves it. I am glad it wasn't smooth sailing for Ty and Zane, something like this was bound to happen, and in the end I think it even helped their relationship. But! I am glad it wasn't smooth sailing for Ty and Zane, something like this was bound to happen, and in the end I think it even helped their relationship. But! What this book did to me??? It was really, really hard to see them fighting and saying terrible things to each other. The angst was awful, there was a lot of it, and as the book went on, it just got worse and worse between them! And I just... I don't like to read stuff like that. This is my personal problem that has nothing to do with the book, I avoid angst like the plague, and having it here, and so much of it was NOT fun for me :( TY He has a secret that comes out and drives a wedge between them. Actually, there are several secrets here. The first one, I don't find it that big of a deal. The second one is actually a good one, but the third is pretty bad. I hope there are no more secrets that I skipped ahahhahah Anyway, I understand his point, he just couldn't tell it to Zane, he was afraid how they'd end up. That part I totally get. BUT! After Zane KNEW the existence of that secret, (view spoiler)[and asked Ty to choose between keeping the secret and being with Zane, (hide spoiler)] he still didn't say anything. Not good. Not good at all. Strangely, even with the fact that Zane was the injured party here, there was a lot of Ty suffering in the book. I did feel for him a lot through the book, and with what Zane did later on, they were BOTH jerks, and I can't say who I liked more in this book. Neither of them, I guess. ZANE Curiosity killed the cat, and in this case, Zane's heart. He really, really wanted to know whatever it was that Ty was hiding from him, and finding it out... Well. Ignorance is bliss, I'd say. So, Zane is angry and hurt through most of the book, and it was horrible to read :( Every time they talked, it just got worse, and worse and worse, to the point I didn't even think a reconciliation was possible! Zane was the injured party, but like I said, he too acted like a JERK, trying to hurt Ty back :( Just terrible to read. Terrible. I liked the ending concerning Zane though. I'm glad the author did it, it really helps his character :) Liam Bell + all the other lost loves from their lives Sorry. Liam was kinda irritating. The others... I just don't really care about them :DDDDD The action/suspense/mystery/bad guys thing I have a puny brain that can't cope with a lot of twists and turns and jumps and the bad guys taking turns and I don't know what else. At one point, I had no idea what bad guy they decided to go up against and what were the plans to do it, I just read it to get it over with and get the happy end ahahhahah :DDDD The happy times in the book + the ending As always, I loved all the happy scenes in the book, even though there weren't that many and were mostly interrupted somehow (damn phone!!!!!). The photoshoot in the beginning is one of my favorite scenes :D Totally loved it, and what I would give to get a pic from that shoot!!!!! OMG!!! The ending! It is so great and amazing and frustrating at the same time!!! I love it! Finally! But I want more cause it's sort of a cliffie too! I will DIE until the next book!!!!!!! Anyway, I might have skipped a few important points, but I think I said what I wanted to say :D Great book, but I doubt I'll ever read it again because I don't want to go through that angst and everything :((( *this is just me being a chicken, don't let it influence you cause I know you're all brave ;) * *You know who you are <3* *buddy read with Shelly*

4 stars.****Review completed April 4, 2013 I really liked the shower scene... Ty smacked a hand over Zane's mouth and buried his face against Zane's shoulder. His other hand wrapped around Zane's chest. He drove his hips against Zane's ass, using Zane's own cum to slick the way, using Zane's body for the friction he needed. His other hand wrapped around Zane's chest. He drove his hips against Zane's ass, using Zane's own cum to slick the way, using Zane's body for the friction he needed. Overall Touch & Geaux was a fun and entertaining read. Make no mistake, however, there is hardly any 'sweetness' to be found in this one. They have to deal with plenty of pain due to secrets that will be revealed. Hence, Ty and Zane are spending a rather huge part of the plot fighting and arguing. No worries though, in the end they like/lick love one another again. As it was, I especially appreciated the final 15 % of the plot. On the one hand, it was thrilling and I liked the action and on the other hand, I'm already looking forward to reading the sequel because Ty has been (view spoiler)[recalled to active duty. (hide spoiler)] It will be interesting to see how this will affect Ty and Zane's relationship (view spoiler)[ (they will no longer be work partners). Hoorah! (hide spoiler)] Also, I really enjoyed to see Ty's team (Sidewinder) again, and a new character has been introduced (Liam Bell.) Though I'm not quite sure yet what to think of him, this bunch of merry guys cranked up the fun factor significantly and I loved their bickering. Granted, the calendar thingy was a little bit cheesy but it was a good joke nonetheless and made me smile like crazy. Let's face it, I love to read this series mainly because of Ty and Zane. The plot is hardly ever well thought out or really believable. But who cares? When I curl up on my couch I sure know that I will spend a couple of hours of fun and it's safe to say that Ty and Zane will provide a few good giggles. Always. Touch & Geaux was no exception and despite their argument I closed the book with a smile on my face as well as a little thrill of anticipation. What did not sit well with me (view spoiler)[The fact that Ty has awakened Zane's interest in men when Zane saw him for the first time years ago in New Orleans was absolutely OTT. Could it have been any more ridiculous? What a fluke...*rolls eyes* (hide spoiler)] The secrets (view spoiler)[ "I was never completely discharged from the Marines." (hide spoiler)] I was absolutely clueless about this secret. The next one, however, did not really come as a huge surprise anymore, since I was suspecting something like that but not in this entirety. (view spoiler)[Ty's been assigned to Zane on purpose, to protect him as well as to "spy" on him. Ty's boss questioned Zane's loyalty. "After the Tri-State case, after you were pulled from Miami, Richard Burns assigned me as your partner so I could protect you." (hide spoiler)] Yup, and then the 'talk' about trust issues blah, blah, blah. Zane…friendly advice…It was alright to feel indignant but then you should simply address the issue, talk about it, clear the air and then suck. It. Up. Just move on! I mean where have you been wronged? You're not the first who has to deal with something like that and it's clear that the order came from someone higher up the chain of command. So, instead of falling back into old patterns (clinging to your pathetic bottle) you should man up. Oh my, all the anger and fighting were not funny. Dunno but maybe you need glasses? When you can't see and feel that Ty loves you then something is very wrong with you and he said multiple times that he was sorry. This extended and artificial drama was totally needless! It took up so much time (more than 20 % of the plot) that it did detract from my enjoyment of the story. Still, I'm TEAM TY. Always. Even though Ty is by far not flawless he is very loyal and he has a sense of purpose, that's for sure. (view spoiler)[And Ty did it because he protected a man he loved and I believe him that he would do it again in a heartbeat. (hide spoiler)] (view spoiler)[ "So you question his motives. You question his tactics. But you be damn sure you know what you're doing before you question his loyalty." (hide spoiler)] "Sometimes I wonder who I'd be if it weren't for them," Ty said, his voice a whisper that barely rose above the sound of the water. "Zane." His voice was hushed and pensive. "Sometimes I'm not capable of expressing how grateful I am for you." "What do you mean?" Ty put a hand to his own chest, visibly struggling to find the right words. "For your…So few people have ever understood the way I work. In here." He tapped his chest. "Thank you for…your insight." "She's got a lot of pins in you." "I believe in you," Zane whispered. "I know it. I will never be the man you think I am." Zane's breaths came harder. "We've both been trying so hard to be worthy of each other." "I just need to be able to trust you, Ty," he whispered. "You can. I swear you can. I'd die for you, Zane." Zane's heart was in his throat as he studied Ty's profile. "I know." "And you," Ty continued, his voice breaking. "You're a phoenix, Zane. Rising from the ashes. And all I do is make you burn." "I was an (view spoiler)[assassin", he whispered. "I'm a Marine. (hide spoiler)] I'm the man who doesn't miss. And I'm yours." (…) "I'm an artist. I'm a geek." He felt Ty smile. "I am one badass motherfucker on a motorcycle." Ty began to laugh. Zane dipped his head until they were staring into each other's eyes. "And I'm yours." Finally, I loved the (view spoiler)[last kiss in front of their co-workers. (hide spoiler)] Very cool. <3 (view spoiler)[ It was the first purely honest kiss they'd ever shared. And it was a kiss good-bye. (hide spoiler)] And since Ty has been (view spoiler)[recalled to active duty and will be deployed within 48 hours, the kiss (hide spoiler)] had a special impact. I don't think it was a dark or angsty read. It was, however, a bit stressful, annoying at times as well as emotional due to certain uncoverings. And while Touch & Geaux is not my favorite Cut & Run story, it's a must read for every Ty and Zane addict. Also, I'm very curious to see what craziness book number 8 will provide. Last but not least I *think* that the somewhat surprising ending of T & G could bring this series a nice boost. Bring it on!

I had mixed emotions reading this book. On the one hand, c’mon, it’s Ty & Zane. And Zane is my numero uno. And I unashamedly am one of those who was so happy to have the fluff-fest of “Stars & Stripes”. I couldn’t wait for more. On the other hand, I was tired of all the speculation. I was a bit irritated by what I felt was manipulation - ambiguous messages released around the book…driving readers insane with trying to guess what would happen. And mostly, I was put-off by the saga of “writers behaving badly”. FORGET ALL OF THAT. This story was EXACTLY what needed to happen to this series. If readers thought “Stars & Stripes” was going to be T&Z’s HEA, well, “Touch & Geaux” is the “eh, eh, eh…not so fast…they still have sh*t to work through”. Too many secrets existed between our boys…and they all-too-easily tried to sweep them under the rug in the past. Not anymore. Those secrets are coming out…and man, there are some painful, heartbreaking scenes between the two. Kudos to Abi Roux for her plot twists. I would NEVER have guessed that Ty’s secrets were what they were. And I was unprepared for how it actually could/would come between our boys and how much it would hurt. But, thankfully, along with that hurt, there was healing. Look, this book is at times ridiculous (one way over-the-top motorcycle rescue), at times all over the place (wait, who’s POV are we on now?), and at times eye-roll inducing (I mean, Ch 1 starts with a “Men of the FBI” calendar and guess who’s in it? …our UNDERCOVER agent boys…puh-lease…so outrageous!) But there are some fun parts (think A-team with special ops, SAS, cops, and FBI…good lord…my dream come true!), some real emotion (lies, betrayal, heartache), and BEST of all, we get to know more about Ty & Zane (their pasts, why they behave the way they do, what they really mean to each other) The ending was set up to be very obvious. But, meh…that’s this series for you. TO ANSWER SOME OF THE QUESTIONS (not really spoilers - general answers w/o the detail...but hidden just in case): Is there cheating? (view spoiler)[ No. None. Not physical, nor emotional. (hide spoiler)] If you’re a fan of Zane: (view spoiler)[ He takes quite an emotional beating in this book and I think that’s why it hit me so hard. There are some scenes that had me bawling. But this book belongs to him…he’s the star of this one. (hide spoiler)] What about Nick? Liam Bell? (view spoiler)[ They don’t play as big of a role as it was speculated… (hide spoiler)] Smut-level? (view spoiler)[ Low, compared to other books. I’d rate it a 4 out of 10 on the smut-meter… (hide spoiler)] Can I handle the angst? (view spoiler)[ Aside from a couple really painful scenes, all-in-all, it’s not that bad. 4 out of 10 on the angst meter. (hide spoiler)] Is there a cliffhanger? (view spoiler)[ Yes, in a sense. But it was announced chapters and chapters beforehand and not unexpected. It pretty much paves the way for book 8. (hide spoiler)] Is there an HEA? (view spoiler)[ As much as there ever is with these two .But yes, I’d say there is for their relationship…but it’s clear there will be more challenges ahead… (hide spoiler)] RECOMMENDATIONS : If you are a nut over Ty & Zane and have some reference to them in your profile name, this book will have you in tears, then have you squee'ing, and then you’ll finish swearing you’ll never be the same! If you’re a fan of the series, but your life doesn’t depend upon it, the book is heartfelt and you’ll walk away feeling glad you read it and liking T&Z more than you might have already. If you’re a I-can-take-it-or-leave-it person…well, I don’t know the story will be enough to grab you. This book is really more about some growing up our boys have to do and I’m not sure that will be that interesting to a casual reader. In fact, some of the OTT parts might totally turn you off. (But, then again, no matter what level of fan you are of the series, you might just hate it altogether. Who knows?) Overall, I felt it was the perfect book for this place in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Guess that means I’m now on countdown until book 8, which I think is still a year away… *ugh*

As the doors began to grind open, he smiled. “You’re my idea of a pinup” he whispered I have to say that this one has so far been my favourite, it is full of action, angst, marines, cartels, dirty cops, kidnappings, murder and a British Spy all set in the backdrop of New Orleans, where we also see the black magic of Voodoo come into play... Oh, and not forgetting our boys foray into the world of modeling, well, only for a charity calendar, but it was funny to see them squirm at the unfamiliar!  The plot is riveting and played to perfection with twists and turns and revelations I certainly didn't see coming and shocked the pants off me… I absolutely loved it! In Touch and Geaux we see a different side to our beloved boys, we are used to hot sexy man loving and plenty of snarky banter and the hilarious situations they get themselves into, don’t get me wrong we still have the usual hot, panty melting, cold shower worthy sex… (speaking of showers that scene was sizzling) plus some very heart pounding angry sex, but also some beautiful passionate and sensual loving that just had my heart all kinds of soft and gooey. However this time we see an emotional, moving and almost spiritual journey to not only understanding themselves on a whole new level, but also each other. But that journey is fraught with uncertainties and their past catches up to them and the dark secrets that had been hidden deep and buried, the kind that leave scars on your heart are now revealed and both both Ty and Zane need to bare their souls in order to discover if they can weather the challenges that lay ahead. “I love you Zane,” Ty gasped. “nothing I’ve done will ever change that.” “Zane” Ty Moaned, lowering his forehead to Zane’s shoulder and flexing his back and hips to keep the wildly arousing rhythm going. “I need you.” Zane has spent the last two years with Ty wanting to prove to him he was no longer the drug and alcohol addict, but a man who was worthy of his love and with Ty he was able to battle those demons and was at last finding some peace within, that had evaded him for so long.  But Ty is weighed down by secrets, secrets that had ripped at his soul, secrets he had never even trusted with his brothers in arms and I would like to say it was a cleansing of the soul, but it was through circumstances out of his control that Ty needed to reveal what he had tried to push to the back of his mind and ignore.. Ty had trusted Zane with his life, now he was entrusting his heart and soul, no more boundaries to cross or walls to knock down, hoping that Zane would still look at him with love in his eyes, still want him in his life. But those secrets and lies were embedded so deep into their lives, it created a doubt that Zane never thought he would feel, especially about Ty. In the past I have always felt a little sad for Zane as he is the quiet stoical loner, he see’s himself as a geek and when Ty gets together with the Sidewinder’s he is lost, feeling like an interloper. However in this book we get a whole lot of recon boys and testosterone charged action and Zane is right in the thick of it, he is included as one of the brothers in arms and it just made me happy to see that particular development. I know there are some readers that don’t particularly enjoy angst in their books and Touch and Geaux, definitely has plenty of it, which yes, is frustrating however, personally I love it and I don’t feel the angst in this book was over the top… with the revelation that hit Zane I would be mighty pissed off too… and yes if they just take time to talk to each other things would be all lovely and sweet and sensible… but come on, in two days they manage get themselves sorted and act like grown ups… eventually. In real life things are ten times worse… they would have needed relationship guidance and counselling for all that shit, which could have gone on for months, real life and people are not predictable and so a little angst for a couple of days, I think is perfectly adult of them, plus I love all that heart pounding uncertainty!  “You told me one time that… I was your compass. I gave you direction when you were lost” Ty said, nearly choking on the words. He glanced up, eyes reflecting like liquid in low light. “Well, you were my anchor. You were something solid for me to hold onto. I wanted you to remember that” I believe in you One of the reasons I love this series so much is obviously Ty and Zane but really even though I think of them as real men they are fictional characters created by Abigail Roux and it is through her amazing writing and talent that these two men are brought to life… in my head they are very real, every familiar nuance and characteristic, each shrug of their shoulder, smirk, raised eyebrow, all of it, I see before me… and Hell Yes! …that includes the sex! They have personalities that I just love. I am invested in their lives, their friends, family I worry about their well being and above all I just want them both to find the happiness they so deserve together. “Who are you, Ty?” Ty smiled against his cheek. “I was an assassin,” he whispered. “I’m a marine. I’m the man who doesn’t miss. And I’m yours.” Zane bit his lip on a smile. “Who are you, Zane.?” Zane cocked his head. “I am an artist. I’m a geek.” He felt Ty smile. “I am one badass motherfucker on a motorcycle.” Ty began to laugh. Zane dipped his head until they were staring into each other’s eyes. “And I’m all yours.” The last 15% of this book was just perfect… Learning to love themselves, as well as each other and put all the secrets and lies behind them... my heart was a flutter, the sex was passionate, sensual and loving, our boys had reached a whole new chapter of their lives and my heart was warmed… and then Ms Roux goes and drops that bombshell!! I was so not happy… and how long till the next book? For more reviews, please check out Sinfully Sexy Book Reviews and you can also find us on Facebook

I didn't think that the author would be able to beat 'Fish & Chips' or 'Armed & Dangerous' as they were sort of my favourites until now, but she blew them out of the water!! This book was magnificent, and I couldn't stop reading it!! Ty, Zane, Liam Bell (yes, I even got to like you..sort of), the Sidewinder team, Dick (you are a Dick) Burns...everything was so much better in this book, the plot was awesome, and yes, there wasn't as much humour or sex...but so what!! Other reviewers have complained about the fighting...they're always fighting for goodness sake, and the convenient 'fate' storyline which meant that Zane had met Ty when he was in N'Awlins with his wife Becky...well, fate is a bitch sometimes...but it is definitely true that you can have met someone a long time ago....and then run into them again years later!! Happy reading, and just be careful out there...someone might be out to getcha!!

The more I think about this book, the more annoyed I'm becoming. Take for instance the Big Drama. That went NOWHERE. Okay, so these guys have been living together for a year or two, Zane is going to propose. I have to wonder though about all of this logic. Okay, Zane knows Ty has a lot secrets. They don't know about each other's past much. But BEFORE that gets discussed, he's ready to propose to Ty. The big reveals. I don't have time to go into the stupidity of all of those plot points, but sweet Jesus that made Days of Our Lives look like quality logical television. However, cast that away for a bit. All of that served in many ways to make Ty look even more like the perfect man who is a martyr (remember, Ty would go back to NOLA for people whereas Zane never would. Don't forget dear readers, Zane wouldn't have bought Ty an orchid because he's clearly not the romantic one. Don't forget Zane is the weak one and Ty is just doing his duty). But I thought the author had something there despite my problems mentioned above. I perked up. Oh shit, this is going to go somewhere finally! But it didn't. Zane beats the shit out of him as Ty says he's sorry and drowns his sorrows in whiskey. Okay, whatever, I thought some of that was really great. It just didn't go anywhere! So all that and then what? Ty recommends a month apart for Zane to find himself and have a life outside of Ty. Again Zane does need to do that. But what does the author do? She has him do art in his house by himself. She has him go to a baseball game by himself. It's mentioned he has zero friends yet a coworker asks him to be the best man -- because that makes total sense. Rather than go to the gym he goes and does things by himself. What did this all do? Then Ty shows up and asks, "Are you ready for me to come back?" At this point I may or may not have wanted to rip my Kindle into tiny shreads. What the fuck about Ty's problems??? Didn't he need to work on shit, too? Didn't he? Seems to me he did, but oh no, can't have Ty and Zane coming together to work on their problems and trust issues. That would even the playing field and be logical. No, let's have Zane spend time fingerpainting on his easel and taking long introspective walks so he can ponder his general weakness. Bahhh! Fuck all that noise. The first sex scene was a complete throw away. The second one was defintitely the best, although I didn't find it hot. I at least felt the emotion surrounding that whole scene. The third one I stopped 4x while reading it because I don't need an instruction manual on how to have sex. "Ty moved hand" "Zane lifted leg" "Ty leaned down" Boring. The Oddities: *Ty doesn't grap his weapon when they land in NOLA. Okay, he's FBI, he's Recon, he's supposedly going to a city where his friend said they are accusing him of murder, he's got enemies there: Why the fuck wouldn't you grab your weapon, dude? *The flashbacks didn't add much of anything. Yeah, we learn of some dude that supposedly changed Ty's life in the military, but the reader didn't really experience that. We were told that (by the way, there is LOADS of telling in this book). The one of Ty in NOLA is what it is. It's not needed, and what was the point? To show the reader that even when Zane was with his wife nothing would have been stronger than his attraction to Ty? The Zane one I have zero recollection of so that should tell you how uber important it is. *Zane seems pretty slow at times. Ohhhh, so wait...let me run this through my brain...your friend said he was accused of murder and we run into him and your friends who are laughing and saying we are celebrating a party...so wait? it's party time? Yes, Jesus. Also, he wasn't aware Ty was superstitious?? Since, when? He's lived with him how long? Didn't he have all kinds of superstitions about baseball etc? Comments like: "Ty's expression remained impassive, which was singularly annoying, since Zane usually read him so well." Well, actually, no, you didn't slow ass. You sure seemed shocked as hell at all this horrendous betrayal. *Ty looks at the note that says Liam..."Was his name Liam Bell?" Uh, maybe? Do NOT get me started on that lemon juice fucking note and all that EXACT moments that needed to happen for that to occur. *This is the 7th book. The 7th. Why am I still getting play-by-play reminders of basic events and characters? I don't need a recap every book. *There is a lot of telling me what Ty would do/what Zane would do throught the book. *The random Nick POV's were distracting. * “For your . . . So few people have ever understood the way I work. In here.” He tapped his chest. “Thank you for . . . your insight.” - Um, what? *"They know what you looked like. If they found out your identity or location, they’d come for you, and they’d come hard. Almost every time Burns has called me for a job, it’s been to head them off." - If this was the case, then why was Zane doing publicity? Why was Zane doing that ridiculous calendar? *It's stated SOCOM is defunct and is now MARSOC. To the best of my knowledge, SOCOM is charged with overseeing the various Special Operations Component Commands of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps of the United States Armed Forces. MARSOC was started in 2006 and is the Marines Special Forces Command. *The big fake plan with Liam. Yeah, yeah its OTT and not logical, but besides that, can't these fuckers drive out of NOLA? *The cartel, Ava's hoodoo voodoo Cajun daddy plot, the NIA...oh just stop. *Ty and Zane are there to meet Ava's father at Six Flags. Ty worked undercover in NOLA and left after Katrina. Ava's father wants all the info Ty had on him. Ty says Katrina wiped it out. I just can't even with this stupid. I mean we did have warning about Katrina. People were evacuating before it made landfall. I was in New Orleans the Saturday before it hit and I sat in fucking 10 hours of traffic to go 70 miles away. B/c everyone was fucking evacuating. It didn't land till Monday. But aside from all that, wouldn't a FBI agent working undercover who had uncovered major corruption with the city's police have backups or have sent or saved the shit elsewhere??? What is this Wild Things swamp logic? *The timeline for the books was off in several places. *There were quite a few typos/errors. *Do Marines going into a cemetary for a shoot-out or whatever need an info dump about stuff from the 1700s? *Zane on a motorcylce = John Travolta from Wild Hogs. Ok, I'm dying of laughter again. *Ty's reasons and means of spying on Zane for 2 years are never explained or explored in ways they could have been. We just get it was my duty and Zane is all aghast because someone disrupted his color-organized sock drawer. *No one is attracted to Zane without either some Ty connection or having twice as many people coming forward with love or pure devotion to Ty. *One of my big issues though is Ty is going on deployment for Lord knows how long, and he kissed and outed Zane when he knows he's leaving. He's leaving Zane to deal with the aftermath. I guess it's supposed to be romantic, but it still bothered me. *You're supposed to be discharged from the military before applying for the FBI so I guess...what? I can't even try and shift through the plot to try and explain. *FBI agents can retire with 20 years at the age of 50 or they can retire with 25 years of service. So, he's what maybe 45? And he just made 21 years? So, Zane is looking at a minimum of several years before he's up for retirement, yet the book didn't really make it seem like that to me. *Also, I really feel that this book and their issues should have come 5th not 7th. It would have made much more sense for Ty to take off after Zane finally admitted he loved Ty and all of that angst. Then, Ty could have come back and all these secrets could have come out. It does not make any sense in their story arc to have this book happening right now. That ending wasn't a shocker at all. At all. From the moment it was mentioned, I knew that's how the book would end.

**Spoiler Free Review Below!! I have spoiler tags engaged for those who have read the book!** Holy crap this book shocked the hell out of me!! I have to say, I started this book feeling not so impressed. I forgot how choppy Abigail Roux's writing can be. It doesn't read as beautiful or elegant. For the first 10% or so I was feeling a bit let down. But then it started. I was sucked back into the amazing world of Ty and Zane. I forgot how choppy Abigail Roux's writing can be. It doesn't read as beautiful or elegant. For the first 10% or so I was feeling a bit let down. But then it started. I was sucked back into the amazing world of Ty and Zane. I don't know how Roux did it but she reeled me back in, she reeled me back in HARD CORE. This book was a bit different from the others in the series. It was more action-packed and less hot (I know, boo! hiss!). There were many fewer sex scenes. However, I'm so happy that Roux added something different to the series and kept my interest up. I was thinking that the last book was too... staid. This was anything but. I have heard a bit of hype about Ty his BIG SECRET. I was mystified as to what it could be... and I'm glad it stayed that way. I was totally sucker punched and WOW was I shocked. Well played, Abigail, well played. I have to rate this book solely on enjoyment factor and not technical merit because I was dying while I read this book... and I loved every second of it! It was delicious and I can't wait for the next in the series! Word of advice: don't even TRY to follow the plot in a logical fashion- it won't work, just accept it and make peace. And the POV switches... I just smile and nod and go with the flow. Abigail Roux gets away with murder and still makes me smile. Now... onto the section with spoiler tags... Spoiler 1: Ty's secret- let's discuss. (view spoiler)[ Holy moly! That was a BIG ONE! I'm so glad that Zane got all of his anger out properly because I literally felt furious at Ty. I think that Roux did a great job of capturing the range of Zane and Ty's emotions during these times. I felt everything that they were feeling. I also can see things from both guys POVs. It was a great secret in terms of adding layers to the series and to their relationship. The other minor secrets- not a surprise at all. The fact that he never really quit the marines and that he was the guy that Zane saw all of those years prior- I saw that coming a mile away (hide spoiler)] Spoiler 2: Ty's sexuality. (view spoiler)[ Okay, what is with all of these past RELATIONSHIPS that Ty had with other men! This does not jive with the Ty that we saw in book 1. There, he seemed really timid about being with another man. He had serious involvement with other man that ended up in two guys saying I love you to him... that doesn't really fit the story line that we have seen thus far. And if he had no problem getting it on with other guys in the military, why didn't he ever get it on with Nick??? He had to have sensed something more going on there. Sigh, not my favorite development in the book. It would have been better I think if these other men had been just casual, which isn't really how it came across to me. (hide spoiler)]

This is probably definitely  the most heart wrenching book of the series...so far! There really isn't much I can say about this book without giving everything away...and I refuse to do that. I suppose it would be ok to tell you this: ♥ It was very emotional for me. Tears were shed by all. Ty and Zane...and even me. I love how they are both so flawed but still so passionate. Abi did great job bringing the French Quarter to life. ♥ There was non-stop action with crazy twists and turns. And the entire Sidewinder crew is there for the ride...along with the elusive Liam Bell. ♥ There was the revelation of an epic betrayal (view spoiler)[...and it wasn't cheating (hide spoiler)] Yeah, those two still had some monster secrets between them. ♥ The shocking ending left me searching for the Kleenex box. I swear I cried for a full 5 minutes! The wait for book 8 is gonna be a torturous one! I know everything I said sounds terrifying, but if you truly love Ty and Zane...this book is well worth it. I will leave you with this: "You told me one time that . . . I was your compass. I gave you direction when you were lost," Ty said, nearly choking on the words. He glanced up, eyes reflecting like liquid in the low light. "Well, you were my anchor. You were something solid for me to hold onto. I wanted you to remember that." ***ETA: I caught that connection to The Gravedigger's Brawl near the end. I'm curious to know if there are any plans for a cross-over story...or at least a sequel??

Thank you, thank you, thank you for having the ability to maintain everything I love about this series and these guys and create yet another fabulous chapter in their lives. 5 Stars for giving me the Ty and Zane I love 5 Stars for making them just as funny and sexy as ever 5 Stars for pulling my heart like a yo yo and then putting it back together again 5 Stars for awesome plot twists and WTF moments 5 Stars for keeping me totally invested in these guys As I started the first page, I took a deep sigh Thank you, thank you, thank you for having the ability to maintain everything I love about this series and these guys and create yet another fabulous chapter in their lives. 5 Stars for giving me the Ty and Zane I love 5 Stars for making them just as funny and sexy as ever 5 Stars for pulling my heart like a yo yo and then putting it back together again 5 Stars for awesome plot twists and WTF moments 5 Stars for keeping me totally invested in these guys As I started the first page, I took a deep sigh of comfort at seeing Ty and Zane, just as I remembered them from each story before. Ty is just as funny and sexy as ever. Zane continues to match Ty perfectly in every aspect. When they are together, the scenes are intense, emotional and stunningly hot, with minimal graphic description. You can feel how much it means to them when they are intimate, so much so, that it feels as though you are in the room with them. Almost makes you feel as though you should look away, but who possibly could do that? As for the rest of the story, there are so many things that happen to make this one heck of a bumpy rollercoaster ride. Secrets come to light, loyalties are tested, emotions are put through the ringer multiple times and the plot twists and turns when you least expect it. Ty and Zane each had a string on my heart pulling one way and then the other. I love the struggle they have to endure to stay together and how they aren't just the perfect happy couple. Watching them suffer some makes what they do have so much more meaningful. The Sidewinder team is all together, and what a treat that is. Their dialog had me laughing out loud more than once. Even Owen had me chuckling a time or two. I think I could sit around listening to them banter and goof around all day. We meet a new somewhat intriguing character, Liam, who constantly teeters on the fence of Team Sidewinder and who knows how many other possible players. I hope we get to see more of him in the future. I wanted to hole myself up in dark seclusion to read this in total concentration so I wouldn’t miss a single word or gesture, and while I couldn’t read it fast enough, I also didn’t want it to be over. But then, the ending! Nice but not very nice, writer lady! This was my favorite book of the series so far, and I’m happy to say that Abi is just getting better and better.

Words fail me. I'm in awe. What a hard punching, action packed, emotional roller-coaster ride of a book. As it's very difficult to put into words how this book got to me I've decided to split my review into three main parts or threads which I feel were running through this book. 1) The Action The plot was well thought out. A perfect timeline of past events culminating in one big, heart-stopping, showdown for a final scene. This alone is the stuff films are made of. We get to know a new character Words fail me. We get to know a new character, Liam, who is your epitomy of an NIA spook. Never really knowing who's side he is on for sure and even at the end left with many open questions. I really liked this character, sometimes I hated him, but then something surprising would happen and then I would find myself sympathising with him. As for Ty and Zane well, these guys pack a mean punch as would be expected from two rough and tough FBI agents. Real men in a men's world. I loved the final showdown where all the threads come together and Ty and Zane have to face their history and all the damage they have caused people along the way. The suspense was built up really well throughout the book with more surprises then you could shake a stick at. Lots of bullets, explosions and chases. Action all the way! 2) The Secrets WOW, what a bombshell this book was. An encylopedia of secrets all coming out in one foul swoop that left me reeling. First Ty, what a revelation his confessions were, left poor Zane dumbfounded and asking himself would he ever be able to trust Ty ever again. Ty had been undercover for so long he had lost touch with the real Ty. A military machine programmed to take and obey orders without question like Pavlov's dogs. His faith in king and country and sense of duty never let him question his actions, motives or moral convictions for such behaviour. I was in the military and know these types exist, it's what the military needs but on the other hand they are also to be pitied. Zane is also not without his past, but in this book Ty really becomes Zane's nemesis and all that he believes in Ty comes crashing down around his ears. Again here all the secrets, subterfuge and undercover assigments are totally believable as this is what these guys do. At some stage it was going to form a wedge between them or any relationship and felt in this book everything really came to a head. As for Zane encountering Ty in the bar with his wife many years before I find this totally plausible. I speak here from personal experience because exactly that kind of story happened to me with my current partner now of 14 years. So here I would like to share to make my feelings on this part clear. I met my partner in a subway station while I was still in a reltionship, I had aeroplanes in my stomach, stars in my eyes the full works. Anyway, we met shortly for lunch one day and after this not wanting to sacrifice my current reltionship went out of my way not to go to that subway station or use the same route. Eight years passed and my, now ex-partner did the light fandago on me for someone else overnight and left me totally high and dry. Three months later as I was teaching at a company in another town and someone talked to me in the coffee room and immediatley these feelings I had eight years before came back. I didn't realise at the time who it was only recognised those feelings. Later it dawned on me I have only ever once had that feeling and that was eight years ago. A week later I went back and asked him if he ever worked in the city and his answer was yes and that he remembered meeting some English guy for lunch and had never forgot as the feelings were mutual. He had hoped for a long time to see me again in the subway station, but never did. So eight years between with no contact and the feelings are there even if the recognition of faces fades with time. The rest is history. 14 years later still together and married for 10! Fate is inexorable and for all the eye-rolling cynics out there who disbelieved this part of the story, all I can say is shit like this does happen. I know. 3) The Emotions Probably the most harrowing part of this book. First it is obvious they both have very different views, Zane the cynical rationalist and Ty the one who believes in fate and Voodoo. Then comes the meltdown; Ty spills the beans and leaves Zane dazed, dumbfounded, hurt and confused. I think Zanes reactions were totally normal after being confronted with Ty's revelations. Any trust they had in the beginning was now totally destroyed and left Zane asking himself whether he ever really knew Ty at all. I feel men process feelings completely different to women and Zane's reactions of lashing out, being aggresive, hitting the bottle, getting punchy and sulky was totally normal and expected. Especially from a tough alpha male whose emotions are already stunted due to the job and his circumstances. Ty is his whole world, his reason for existing and this most of hurt like hell! I probably would have punched Ty myself! On the other hand my heart also completely went out to Ty as well. He is obvioulsy more confused and in need of support and guidance then he would like to admit. Programmed to perform and not think, this is to be pitied. He realises what this has done to Zane and is truly sorry, but Zane acting the way he does doesn't make things easier for Ty. All the way through you are never left in any doubt that the love Ty feels for Zane goes a lot deeper than any sense of duty and has an internal struggle to balance these things out. Even right up to the end where Ty proves he always was and is still prepared to take a bullet for Zane. To quote the oldest book in the world"A greater love hath no man" and this is defintitely what Ty proved in the end. However, it was obvious that Ty could not be the one and only reason for Zane functioning, Zane needed to find himself as his own person to be able to save their relationship too. Ty made this clear even though it wasn't for Zane. Ty gave him the time and space to get his shit together which made for one of the most powerful and emotional reunion scenes I have read. Conclusion This book had me by the balls from the very first chapter, shook me, shocked me, and left me emotionally wrung out. The best book in the whole series so far. I just ask myself how Abi ever thinks she is going to top this one. P.S. This was my first buddy read with my GR friends, Gina, Tina, Macky and Bev. It was a mind blowing experience being able to share how I'm feeling about the book whilst reading. Great experience! Will definitely have to do it again guys.

Jeeeeeezuz...This series might be the most torturous thing I've done to myself since I started reading M/M Romance, Ty and Zane have made me homicidal more than once, I've given up on the series, thought it had gone to shit, felt hopeful again only to be annoyed and turned off by irritating promotional antics by the author. I wasn’t going to read it! I was not going to READ IT…But it's Ty and Zane, and I love those two fuckers, so I bucked up because the end is near, and I want to KNOW where these guys will end up...I was reticent...I thought I'd be disappointed, pissed or both...And then I started reading and this book bitch slapped me INTO SUBMISSION…Like.A.Fucking.BOSS. This is by far my favorite book in the series...Hands down. This is the most coherent chapter of Ty and Zane’s love story I’ve read so far. This series has had its share of ups and downs, and I almost gave up on it until Stars & Stripes, it was a good transition book and it left me wanting more of Ty and Zane. But if book #6 was putting them back on the right track this book, Touch & Geaux, it’s the catharsis, where these two men finally stripped themselves to the bone and showed each other who they were inside and out. I finally feel like I have a sense of who they are, where the come from. Ty and Zane are always burning for each other and biting and so hot, so in love and then so cold, they love each other but why is everything always so hard? Why can they love and fuck and fight so fiercely, and keep their guards up like they do? WHY??? I wanted to know!!...Now I do, they finally showed all their secrets. We got to see part of their pasts and how those events had changed them, and how they shaped them. I loved the twists and turns in this book, it was fast paced from the get go, we hit the ground running and landed in none other than NOLA baby! It was a fabulous place for Ty and Zane to bring their usual mayhem, and it worked incredibly well. I thought the author did a fabulous job of setting the story and exploiting all the kinds of crazy shit that only Ty and Zane could get up to in a city like New Orleans. Honestly this is the kind of story that makes M/M so unique, characters with so many flaws, who fuck up so badly, who can be so cruel to the one they love and yet you WANT THEM HAPPY. I want them happy…Forever and ever and ever…This book was heart wrenching, they tore each other’s hearts out in this one, my goodness they didn’t stop tearing at each other, but it’s what had to happen for them to truly have a chance to have a future. Because anything else would have been another pair, not Ty and Zane. I totally and completely loved this book, and can hardly wait to see what will happen next with these two guys. I can’t even say it’s more of the Ty and Zane I know and love, because it isn’t, they aren’t! They are better than the guys I fell in love with, they are BETTER. I don’t even know how to explain…But maybe they can… “Who are you, Ty?” Ty smiled against his cheek. “I was an assassin,” he whispered. “I’m a Marine. I’m the man who doesn’t miss. And I’m yours.” Zane bit his lip on a smile. “Who are you, Zane?” Zane cocked his head. “I’m an artist. I’m a geek.” He felt Ty smile. “I am one badass motherfucker on a motorcycle.” Ty began to laugh. Zane dipped his head until they were staring into each other’s eyes. “And I’m yours.” Ty and Zane, not a coincidence that it rhymes with crack cocaine…And I ain’t putting down my pipe any time soon.

Book #7 This paperback have been waiting on my shelf since summer 2013. That's way too long. So it was a at last time for this seventh Ty & Zane adventure. *********************************************************** Touch & Geaux begin so nicely with a promised steamy hot hotelroom moment, but then must our dear old friends,—these two unforgettable FBI Special Agents in Baltimore— Ty Grady and Zane Garrett, take an unplanned flight to New Orleans in quite a rush. New Orleans New Orleans is the very city where Ty isn't supposed to never ever be anymore. It is dangerous and if Ty is discovered by the wrong team could he get killed and FBI work could be destroyed. Zane has also some old memories from this beautiful place. His is more of the pleasant kind, though. If the 'loyalty' call, and if you are a brave strong hero as these guys, you just have to go for it even if it is the Easter weekend. *********************************************************** As soon as they arrive are they, as so ofte, surrounded by violent trouble. Pretty soon also with some dreadful "dark" secrets that could brake them forever. ~ There will be a couple of hurtful days and a New Orleans visit nobody will ever forget. ‘Zane lay where he was, unable to move even if he’d wanted to. He snaked a hand across the short distance between them and slid his fingers into Ty’s. Ty’s hand closed around his with a gentle squeeze. “I just need to be able to trust you, Ty,” he whispered. “You can. I swear you can. I’d die for you, Zane.” Zane’s heart was in his throat as he studied Ty’s profile. “I know.” This was heartbreaking, heart wrenching hard reading. I couldn't belive my eyes. There were so much "dirt" to handle and I just keept my fingers crossed for a happy end to it all. Gosh, I sob and cried for these guys I hate when people who sincerely love each other start to hurt and say things they will regret later. This wasn't the kind you can say one was wrong or bad, and the other one just suffered. Somewhere in the middle I just wanted to slap them both and beg them to use their brains and calm down. ‘...and suddenly there was no space between them. No tears or lonely days, no secrets and no lies. Just Ty and Zane. On the floor of their row house. On a crooked rug.’ *********************************************************** There has been a lot heartbreaker reads these last weeks. (Where are all those nice sweet romances that just make me smile?) NO no, to be true and honest, I love well written stories that makes me feels. I sometimes avoid them because it hurts but they are in the end often the very best ones. I read this one in more or less one sitting and that is very fast for me. It says a lot: — This was simly amazing great. I couldn't stop and was liked glued to this book. (A good old pretty paperback was it also. It is so good to just hold them.) Without doubts, another five stars worthy Cut & Run novel. (Four '5' and three '4' stars so far.) Ty & Zane and Ms Abigail Roux, you're the B.E.S.T !!! I LIKE - even when they make me cry ~~~~~~~

I knew there was a reason I should be scared to read this one. This one was fucking brutal. On my damn heart. My stomach was in knots. This might be the most action packed of the series so far. Once again, very different from all of the other books. And talk about some real moments. I couldn't stop reading. Things had to get better. Right? That damn ending. I give up. After two days of typing and deleting, I'm admitting defeat. I can't review this. Just a few thoughts I had while reading Touch & Geaux: The plot • Don't try and make sense of the plot in the Cut & Run books. It'll be a waste of time and brain cells. Just read on. The characters • The series is becoming increasingly focused on Ty. Zane is progressively reduced to the faithful sidekick of Ty the Magnificent. • Everybody is in love with Ty the Cock-Whisperer. • Zane has to become a ma I give up. The steam factor • I should probably bid farewell to the hot sex of previous installments. That's not happening anymore. The editing • People have been licking their lips non-stop since book 1. In this installment, they also started narrowing their eyes, clucking their tongue, swallowing hard, running their hands through their hair or rubbing them over their blood-drained faces. There were also some spelling mistakes and missing words here and there (e.g. "the only thing keeps him on the side of the righteous is his loyalty," or "Zane throat tightened,") POVs weren't always clear, and I've already mentioned the plot issues. Overall • This wasn't another Stars & Stripes sap-fest, but I still miss the Ty and Zane of Fish & Chips and Divide & Conquer.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. UGH, this book. The 2 stars is generous, to be honest. It's really more 1.5-ish. My disclaimer on this review is that I'm not a hardcore C&R fangirl like so many others are. I just read the series because it is campy, completely unrealistic, mostly fun, escapist entertainment - I rated 5 of the 6 previous books 3 stars. I think Ty is adorable, the sex is reasonably hot, and a lot of the series has been pretty humorous. Well, this book was campy and completely unrealistic, all right, but it wa UGH, this book. I think Ty is adorable, the sex is reasonably hot, and a lot of the series has been pretty humorous. Well, this book was campy and completely unrealistic, all right, but it was nothing even close to fun or humorous. It started off as a typical Ty and Zane caper - some truly silly, eye-roll-inducing moments (that calendar?! *snort*). But pretty much from the time they stepped off the plane in NOLA until about the infamous 63% point, I was either: (seriously, I skimmed HUGE chunks of this book because I was so fucking bored out of my mind) or: (aka, snickering over how absurd most of what I did manage to read actually was). Then we got to that clusterfuck of a drunk bar fight, and from that point until about 96%, I was: Yeah. I'm going to give Abi the benefit of the doubt here, and assume she didn't actually mean for that (view spoiler)[angry, punitive sex to come across as rape, but the fact that it felt pretty damned borderline close to it to me really bothered me. It made me feel like I never really knew Zane as a character AT ALL. I understand he was hurt and angry. As Nick says (in the only two pages where common sense was spoken in the whole damned book) - I get it. But Ty was doing his job, and was under orders. Did he deserve to be beaten up and punish-fucked by the love of his life for that? And pretty fucking convenient that Zane woke up not remembering all the details, don't you think? (hide spoiler)] Trust works both ways, and even though Ty was quick to forgive Zane for that happy little scenario, I wasn't feeling as generous. That felt like a way-out-of-proportion violation of it to me. The only part of the book I genuinely liked was the very end, when they were back at the FBI office. It's funny, but in my S&S2 review, I mentioned how (view spoiler)[coming out at work was sort of their last coming out hurdle, so at least that question was (kind of) addressed (hide spoiler)] . So... yeah, those are my 2 cents. Well, that and a belief that Abi Roux should just stick to writing fluff, because I personally didn't think the angsty stuff in this book was handled well at all. And by "well at all" I am being as diplomatic as I possibly can be. I think she probably - maybe? - intended it to be relationship development, but it completely missed that mark for me. As in, she was aiming for the apple, and ended up hitting the radio control tower and causing an airplane to go down over the Bermuda Triangle. But a LOT of people have really liked this book, so if you're a fan of the series, give it a try. Based on the overall ratings, chances are your experience will be very different than mine. I have a feeling this was the last book in the series that I will bother to read.

The book of nooooooooooooooooooooooo. I know. I read it wrong. But... I realize it was written before #MeToo but I'm fairly certain 2013 is late enough in the game to make this sort of violence abhorrent. These two are supposed to love each other. Love doesn't equal beating up your lover who's not fighting back. Ever. Love doesn't equal throwing a barstool at your lover. Ever. Love doesn't equal throwing your lover over a table. Ever. Love doesn't equal dragging your lover over a bar. Ever. And I do The book of nooooooooooooooooooooooo. I know. I read it wrong. But... Love doesn't equal dragging your lover over a bar. Ever. And I don't give one single, solitary fuck what a woman does she does not ever EVER deserve to be backhanded off a barstool and knocked unconscious. Ever. The fact that Zane then tried to blame his behavior on the alcohol when the fight happened BEFORE he got drunk incensed me. That's abusive relationship rhetoric 101 right there. 'I'm sorry, baby. I was drunk. It'll never happen again.' Yeah, except YOU WEREN'T DRUNK! Then later he rattles off some BS about Ty being far more emotionally affected by words than physical violence anyway, so why even go there in the first place? What else didn't work for me was the "big secret" which was preposterous. Absurd. Laughable, even! I realize the double edged sword of writing a series about an established couple is creating conflict to keep the readers interested but... Zane's a FEDERAL AGENT who's quite capable of taking care of himself yet I'm supposed to believe that he needed a babysitter? I'm supposed to forget that he was undercover with a drug cartel for TWO YEARS and held his own? I know, I'm sure that was a fluke. It did create drama but nothing really came out of it other than hate sex which bordered on making me extremely uncomfortable and, by the way, makes them both look shallow AF. Zane's rage might've carried more weight had his internal dialogue matched his words but he's persistently thinking things that contradict his actions, like, knowing Ty would never hurt him, etc. Thus, nothing gets resolved. There's no clearing of the air. They never use their words. They just get into yet another pickle this time with the Sidewinder team, lives are on the line, shady shit happens and they realize they can't live without each other. The action parts were entertaining, if absurd. I just wish the justification for all the action wasn't weaksauce. Also, I think we've skipped over into Ludicrous-Land with Ty being depicted as having super badassery powers. Meanwhile everyone else (who are also trained either federal agents or military) are not only inferior but afraid of Ty. The only other positive things I have to say are a couple of the sex scenes were gratifying and Harding's performance is above reproach. Given the ending I have no choice but to continue on but I'm definitely going to need to shake this one off first. Ordinarily I'd compromise and give this 3 stars to account for Harding's impeccable narration but I just can't. Sorry, Mr. Harding. Given all the glowing reviews, most of you can just ignore me; but those who haven't yet read this far yet, beware of the fuckery.

I don’t know if I could say it was my favorite of the series because of all of the turmoil going on for the boys. This was a much more emotional story though, with lots and lots of soul bearing, heart crushing, injury causing, hateful words and feelings of betrayal getting thrown around. It was also intense. No I mean INTENSE. The action alone in this book…which took up the majority of the story, was just incredible!!!! I absolutely loved the storyline, as crazy and confusing as it was. The suspense was riveting!!! The story starts out back in Baltimore with our boys working together, living together and loving each other in the closest thing to contentment that either of them had ever felt before. In fact, some rather major questions were about to be raised about their future together when out of the blue they receive a phone call from none other than Nick O’Flaherty, Ty’s Marine Recon team partner and best friend. Nick is calling from New Orleans, where he says he’s been arrested and is being set up as a murder suspect. He pleads his innocence, but says that he’s going to need Ty’s help immediately before things get too heated in the case. Ty immediately suspects a hoax, but he can’t take that chance, not with his best friend. So Ty and Zane drop what they are doing, and jump on the first plane to New Orleans, knowing that Ty’s previous undercover work there could put his life in danger. It’s a risk he figures he’s just going to have to take. This is Nick we’re talking about. Now I can’t go into detail about what happens when they arrive, but just know that it is wasn’t what I would have guessed. And in pure Ty & Zane style the action just takes off from there like gasoline on a firecracker!!!! Will my boys ever catch a break…I think NOT!!! JEEEEZUSSS!!!! The time they spend in New Orleans will literally change the course of their lives forever!!! If not end them all together. And even if they survive, will their relationship?? These are the types of questions this book provokes. And the rollercoaster ride is FUCKING SCARY AS HELL!!! LOTS OF SECRETS REVEALED!!!! These are NOT les bon temps for my boys, and it brings me chest pain and tears just to recall it!!!!! And there are some very interesting plays of fate and circumstance that had me shocked and awed. There was also some very dark hoodoo going on too. And we all know how superstitious our Ty can be. [image error] Zane shook his head. He’d never realized it was possible for a heart to break for so many reasons at the same time. “You didn’t want to hurt me? Well you failed that mission miserably. That’s really the only thing you care about, right? Mission accomplished?” *** “You shouldn’t go anywhere alone.” Zane turned and kicked the closest empty chair, sending it clattering to the floor. “I’ve always been alone!” he shouted. *** “Do I really know you? Do I know Ty Grady at all?” Ty studied him, trying to parse the anger and pain into something that didn’t feel like he was dying. Zane was still sitting at the bar, his eyes dark and wounded, his shoulders slumped. One chance. That was all Zane was willing to give, even if it broke them both. Ty shook his head and started back up the steps, speaking in a low voice as he went. “If you have to ask that, I guess not.” *** “You’re asking us to think like Ty?” Owen snorted. “I don’t think that’s possible; my brain isn’t powered by squirrels on treadmills.” *** Zane was at the door before the smoke even cleared, kicking it off its destroyed hinges. “You’re welcome!” Liam called after him. “Good lord, to watch him you’d think Ty gave reward blowjobs for being rescued.” *** “Keeping her around would be like trying to keep a raccoon in a cage. You’ll end up bloody. With rabies.” *** “I’m an assassin,” Ty said, his voice unsteady. “I’m a killer. I’m the tip of a spear.” The hair on Zane’s arms rose. His stomach tumbled. Another tear followed the trail of the first down Ty’s dirty face, but Ty didn’t seem to notice. “And you,” Ty continued, his voice breaking. “You’re a phoenix, Zane. Rising from the ashes. And all I do is make you burn.” There were also a few additional characters that came out in this story. Some very intriguing characters, some very easy to hate characters too!! There was still a good bit of humor thrown into the action, but for the most part, I found this to be a much more serious and soul shattering story. The story is told from both Ty and Zane’s POV, so you do get some good insight into what they are feeling, which could be both enlightening and heart wrenching at the same time. But I still love that she tells it that way. Ty propped himself on his elbow and looked down at Zane, eyes narrowed. He seemed concerned. “Did you fuck me the first time because I reminded you of some random in a bar?” “Sort of,” Zane muttered. “Did you fuck me the first time because I had a gun?” “Yes.” Ty leaned over and kissed him, then slid his leg between Zane’s, shifting his weight just enough to be on top of Zane again. “You had a gun. And knives. That’s a better reason than yours.” There were so many ways this story could have ended. I already knew there was going to be some sort of cliffhanger ending, so I kept trying to figure out what it was going to be. But holy hell was I WRONG in my predictions!!!! What am I supposed to do with that ending?????? HOW THE FUCK AM I GOING TO LAST ANOTHER 10 MONTHS FOR THE NEXT BOOK??????? I’m going to need to be put on some sort of medication….oh woes me!! Zane leaned toward him, putting his lips to Ty’s ear. “I think I’ll stick with Bulldog.” Ty turned his head to capture a quick kiss. “Oh, stop,” Nick drawled. “I’m going into a diabetic coma over here.” “I find myself fascinated by it,” Kelly said as he stared at Ty. “I can’t even come up with an appropriate comparison.” I think that is about all I can say for now. The many many amazing quotes in this book would take me forever to try to capture!!! Abigail Roux is a brilliant writer!!!!! She has truly brought these characters to life for me (to almost a pathological level!!). I am and will forever be a Ty and Zane FANGIRL. And I don’t care who knows it!!! 5 AMAZING SOUL SHATTERING STARS My pics… B. Tyler Grady [image error] Zane Garrett [image error]

OMG OMG OMG I LOVED THIS BOOK!! At the end of Stars and Stripes I really thought it would fairly smooth sailing for Ty and Zane. Was I wrong wrong wrong! This book had many facets, but what stuck with me the most was the growth and deepening bonds between Ty and Zane and the pain it took to get there. I honestly felt like I was smack dab in the middle of a crisis between two tough, kickass, men that I loved. I wanted to say something that would help (I screamed at my kindle at one point for Zane to come back, i had a bit of a panic attack when he didn’t). I am not going to rehash what happened because honestly i can’t do better then my buddy read friends So what I will tell you is how I felt. LIke i said before I am new to GR, new to reading and new to review writing. I started the Cut & Run Series new to M/M genre as well. What I found was a series that made me laugh, cry, lose track of time, forget to eat, fall asleep reading on my couch, and hugging my Kindle... This book for me took all of those emotions and multiplied them by a factor of 10! I quickly became obsessed with finishing it. As the story unfolded I needed to know what happened next, would my boys be ok? What about sidewinder, I love those guys to. What is Liam all about? And let’s talk about that shower scene (oh my my). And of course the ending (someone pick me up off the floor). My body was screaming for sleep and my heart simply yelled louder than then rest of my body “OH HELL NO” I am placing this at the top of my list of favorite and best of the best books! And I want to shout out another thanks to my buddy read friends, Mark, Tina, Macky and Bev, as awesome as this book was sharing it with you guys just made it better...

Stuff that causes serious damage to his and Zane’s relationship. One of the wonderful elements of this series—besides the steamy romance between Ty and Zane—has to be all of the mystery and action that goes on. And Touch & Geaux might have had more action than any of the past books of the series. Ty and Zane are like magnates for trouble and it is no surprise when it finds them again in New Orleans; a city that Ty probably never would have ventured back into if Nick, a member of his recon team and friend, had not called him for help. After spending time in New Orleans Ty left enemies behind and they know he is back. The past has caught up with Ty and even with Zane and his team beside him they aren't going to find a easy path to take. We get a good bit of the past in this book which was wonderful. Even though we get Ty’s POV as well as Zane’s in the series; Ty has always been secretive about stuff. It is just the way he is. While the few flashback scenes of the past do not uncover all of Ty’s secrets or reduce that mysterious edge of his by the end of the book I did feel like I knew him better and know that Ty is not infallible. He is not made of steel or able to brush things off as easily as he appears to. The ending was absolutely indescribable. All I can really say is just, wow. Not only did it shock me but it ended just as we learn some HUGE news—I was left with my mouth open in shock and suspense. I cannot wait for the next book! With laugh-out-loud moments, ones that had me mad and others that had me in tears Touch & Geaux is quite possibly the most amazing installment in this series yet. I highly recommend Touch & Geaux to anyone who is looking for a male/male romance with mystery and action elements. Not to mention some very hot love scenes! Touch & Geaux is a must read for Ty and Zane fans!

My review contains some spoilers! My heart stopped several times reading this and it has just been left exposed for the world to see. This book blew Ty and Zane up. This book blew Ty and Zane up. Some things in hindsight some of the secrets were not that shocking or unexpected, but you do get a shock when reading them. This book brought me to the brink and back. It stomped on what I knew about Ty and Zane and gave a little something too. Ty and Zane have never been the A typical couple. I honestly think they were always rocky in a way. There was so much they never seemed to talk about. I think every book until now built up to this one. There was always a sadness about Ty, it was explained here. He kissed him again. In front of their coworkers. In front of King and Country and anyone who would watch. It was the first purely honest kiss they’d ever shared. And it was a kiss good-bye. My first thought when Liam Bell was introduces was WTF!! He was not what I had expected and yet he was brilliant. I enjoyed him as a character even if he pissed me off several times. His role in the book was a lot smaller than I had thought. It was good though, I have a feeling he will be back. The death of a character was well built up and to be honest it did nothing for me emotionally. I wasn't sad and that was good. I was expecting to throw something when the character died, it was a pleasant surprise when the character was gone and I didn't have to worry anymore. Ty's brothers in arms were back! I loved them in this, even Nick, kinda. Well, not really. But I'm tolerating him a bit more now. Hopefully that won't change in any of the future books, but I am not holding out much hope of me really liking him in this series. If you have read the others, you will know that Ty always ends up injured. At this point it's not even funny the amount of times he gets injured. It happens again in this. Of course I should expect it, but it does not help me feel any better about how dangerous things get for him. I saw the potential for more crossovers, another one with or . I would like to see that happen because it makes for an interesting story. Plus I would always like to catch back up with old characters. I think maybe even the three of them could work well together with the right story. “Who are you, Ty?” Ty smiled against his cheek. “I was an assassin,” he whispered. “I’m a Marine. I’m the man who doesn’t miss. And I’m yours.” Zane bit his lip on a smile. “Who are you, Zane?” Zane cocked his head. “I’m an artist. I’m a geek.” He felt Ty smile. “I am one badass motherfucker on a motorcycle.” Ty began to laugh. Zane dipped his head until they were staring into each other’s eyes. “And I’m yours.” I really can't wait for the next book now and I hope that it will be as action packed as this one. I would like more sappy though, they had a tiny bit in this, but there could have been more. This was more learning their relationship and developing as a couple. This was about starting again. One thing I will say about this series is Ms. Roux was right. If you think about it the secret (one of them) was hinted at during the first book. Epic read and I cannot wait for #8. It will kill me to wait, but it will be worth it!

I'm in Bonnie Scotland at the moment, visiting my oldest son who is in University here. Walking down the Royal Mile I stop at the street vendors... some lovely celtic jewelry and leather goods.... spot a leather bracelet with an anchor. What's a girl to do? Buy it of course.... why? He glanced up, eyes reflecting like liquid in the low light. “Well, you were my anchor. You were something solid for me to hold onto. I wanted you to remember that.” Anyway, back to the story. TBH, I found it quite heartbreaking at times. These two were never going to have it easy in their relationship. But in this one it came right to a head. Words were uttered, could they ever be taken back? Had things gone too far? “And you,” Ty continued, his voice breaking. “You’re a phoenix, Zane. Rising from the ashes. And all I do is make you burn.” Zane’s throat was too tight to swallow past, and his next breath came out a choked sob. He had never imagined that was how Ty saw him, and hearing it now made him want to take back every harsh word they’d ever shared, every thrust and parry of their relationship.” I really think this may be my favourite ever couple. I still have a few more books to read. I hope I will love them as much as I have loved all the other books in the series. “I would have chosen you over anything," Zane hissed. He pulled back, breaking Ty's hold, bunched the front of Ty's shirt in both hands, and jerked Ty forward until they were nose-to-nose, until Ty's feet weren't solidly on the floor. "My job, my family, my wife. I would have given my life for you! But you! You can't even given me the truth!” We met up with Sidewinder team which was great ... and we met Liam. “You were right, you know,” Ty whispered. “About what?” Ty swallowed hard. “I sold my soul a long time ago.” Ty gripped Zane’s shoulder and pressed him down, laying him out again, then stretched out over Zane, his hand dragging down Zane’s body to push at his boxers. “Ty,” Zane gasped. Ty kissed him. Zane trailed the tips of his fingers down Ty’s arm, sliding over the tattoo and the scars and the muscles. “Do you really believe that?” Zane asked. “I know it. I will never be the man you think I am.” Zane’s breaths came harder. “We’ve both been trying so hard to be worthy of each other.” And the last scene .... Swoon!!! I love Ty and Zane ... did I mention that?

I understood Zane's feeling of betrayal and hurt, definitely. That was a huge secret that Ty had been holding back all this time and I'm glad to see it come to light because it was a make or break for their relationship. Zane falling off the wagon took me by surprise as well and while it was a shocker for me I enjoyed the issues that it brought it up between him and Ty. That he was using Ty as a crutch and not trying to get healthy for himself. It impressed me that Ty called him on it and that the men were able to see that they needed a break from each other. (hide spoiler)] I found this book to be the darkest out of the series so far but strangely also the healthiest in terms of their relationship. You have to hurt to heal and there was a lot of pain going on here. I loved the ending and not just because (view spoiler)[Zane swallowed (hide spoiler)] I loved it because Zane really became a strong independent person to me and not a reflection of Ty or of the job. I love that he's embracing and owning his quirks. Zane has always been more of mystery to me but I really felt connected to his journey in this book. The ending, ending: (view spoiler)[ Ty redeployed? Killer. That he's still a Marine, I love. It's very much how he identifies himself and it was a huge part of his life. What they want Sidewinder for has me very curious and excited for Book 8. I'm happy that Ty & Zane will no longer be work partners. The fact that they kissed at work has put a definite kibosh on that, I loved that kiss. It was raw and gorgeous. Why be happy they're not partners? I just couldn't see them moving forward and now I can. I could see Zane accepting the ASAIC position and doing a stellar job at it. He's an organizer and a leader. I'd really like Ty to remain a Marine but I don't want him deployed, I want him home and maybe being a trainer of some kind. He'd be a fantastic teacher and he has a lot of skills to pass on to younger Marines. (hide spoiler)] Was this a dark read? Hell, yes. There was also a surprising amount of humour as well. Sidewinder rules. The calendar, cheesy but fun. A few over the top moments but the funniest line in this whole book for me? "They blew a cat at me." I died when I read that. I think after all the angst and all the trauma the this bit perfectly summed it up. Just Ty and Zane. On the floor of their row house. On a crooked rug.

So I received Touch & Geaux in the mail today....and devoured it in three hours. Three stress-filled, heart-palpitating hours. This book has killed me. I'm dead. I. Can't. Even. It should've been obvious from what was revealed in the earlier chapters...but I really didn't think Abi would go there. For real, it was just plain mean. I NEED Book 8 NOW. (I'm crying inside a little because Abi has said on her tumblr that Book 8 isn't coming out this year.) After the end to this book, I'm seriously nervous about how Ty and Zane's story will be resolved in the next 2 books. (hide spoiler)]

5 stars. Touch and Geaux was the most emotional one out of all of them so far. It was gut wrenching. But probably my favorite one, too. Oh and can I mention the fact that it's now 7 books I've read in this series pertaining to the same couple? I've never done that or been so invested in a series before. Now I haven't read the Sidewinder series so I had no idea what I was going to expect but it definitely wasn't this. This whole book was just brutal. Up until the last word. Literally. I can 5 stars. I can't wait to read the next one! “And I’m yours.”

Dear fellow Minions, BRACE YOURSELVES. If you thought you loved the series before now, you’re about to get thrown into a whirlwind of action, suspense, secrets, lies and the ultimate betrayal. Have a defibrillator handy because you’re going to need it! My heart stopped multiple times while reading this and ooohh, it hurt so good! FBI Special Agent Ty and Zane have made it through one year of living together. We’ve seen them fight and we’ve seen them fall in love. But in TOUCH & GEAUX, the stakes have never been this high or so deadly. Just as Zane is thinking about retiring, Ty receives a call that sets things in motion. Immediate help is required and loyal-to-the-bone Ty and Zane head on the next flight that will take them to New Orleans. For Ty, the city holds more history for him than just what it has survived. Just being there can get him killed, but if he plays his cards right, he is hoping he can escape unscathed. Unfortunately, Ty and Zane are confronted with something larger than themselves and when voodoo magic gets involved, chaos reigns supreme. TOUCH & GEAUX should come with a warning. With the amount of action, suspense and heartbreak that happens in this book, readers will absolutely flip. I’ve already warned readers to have a defibulator ready, but even that doesn’t seem like enough. When I say “it will take you on the ride of your life”, I mean that it will feel like you survived a hurricane, a tsunami, and an earthquake all at once. The events that happen are earth shattering and caused a whirlwind of emotion within me. My stress levels have never been so high after reading a book and I loved every damn second of it! I think I deserve a badge of honor saying that, “I SURVIVED TOUCH & GEAUX.” Abigail Roux – ooohhh, girl you know just how to kill me. Roux is a master at her craft. There is no holding back here. Roux is like a champion boxer – she hits you hard and she hits you fast, leaving no room to breathe. You can feel the adrenaline crashing through you as you read this book. Not many authors are gifted enough to evoke emotions from their readers, but Roux’s words grab onto you and never lets go. In addition to the amazing action and suspense, there is a lot of emotion as well. Roux toys with them, bringing you passion and heat and heart, but there’s also quite a bit of angst and heartbreak as well. Ty and Zane have never been tested like this before and it only makes for a more heart stopping and gripping story. I thought Roux had accomplished it all. She made us fall in love with two heroes whose love is almost palpable. But no, Roux isn’t finished with us yet. Ruthless in her ways, Roux gives readers a book that they will die for. I never realized it was possible for a heart to break for so many reasons at the same time. TOUCH & GEAUX deserves to be savored like fine wine, but there was no holding back for me. I knocked it back like a lush. And the burn? Ooh, it burns soo good! There is no question that this book demolishes all others in the series. I’ve read 133 books this year so far and none of them compare to TOUCH & GEAUX. Make sure you clear off your keeper shelf because this baby deserves its own covet spot! TOUCH & GEAUX is untouchable! *ARC provided by publisher Here's a recap of my fave scenes from the series: http://www.underthecoversbookblog.com... Favorite Quotes: “You told me one time that….I was your compass. I gave you direction when you were lost,” Ty said, nearly choking on the words. He glanced up, eyes reflecting like liquid in the low light. “Well, you were my anchor. You were something solid for me to hold onto. I wanted you to remember that.” My Ty: My Zane:

Grady and Zane both know that undercover work might not be an option anymore after their pictures are plastered on the news, with over twenty years in the Bureau Zane just might consider retirement, but when Ty receives a call from a friend in need they drop everything to get to New Orleans. But New Orleans holds secrets from Ty’s past, one that briefly crosses paths with Zane’s past. As Ty and Zane face threats from the past, Ty’s secrets shake loose and Zane is left reeling, can Zane and Ty escape from the past and New Orleans alive… and more importantly together? Ho-ly crap!! This is an action packed, emotional rollercoaster, secret filled, jaw dropping, grin inducing story that you won’t want to put down. This story digs deep into the past and into the secrets that Ty holds close, it’s a story that will make you gasp in shock, moan in despair and grit your teeth in frustration. Forget all the books before because this is the book that defines Ty and Zane, this is the book that could make or break them and this is the book that leaves you reeling in shock, heartbreak, betrayal and hope, all the while you root for our guys and pray that it all works out. Abigail Roux has crafted an incredible story while keeping the storyline fresh and interesting, she pulls us into Ty and Zane’s world again giving them insurmountable obstacles to overcome. Not only do we get the incredible Zane and Ty but we also get Digger, Owen, Kelly and Nick… oh and I can’t forget blast from Ty’s past Liam, all the characters play brilliantly off each other giving the story an edge. So that’s about all I will say about this book, because I refuse to ruin it for anyone, and this is one book that has to be read to discover the incredible secrets it has hidden. Oh and Abigail Roux… the ending, how could you! The only recommendation that I can give is to read this book, it isn’t to be missed and if you have read the other books then *scream* you will never believe what’s awaiting you!! And if you haven’t read any of the other books… welcome to Earth, alien visitors.
